Our History Begins Here in the Conejo Valley

In 1979, Wally Dickey founded Conejo Valley Appliance, Air Conditioning, and Heating during his junior year at Newbury Park High School. During the weekdays, his mom handled phone calls, while Wally performed service calls on the weekends.

In 1981, the business became a family affair when Wally’s two brothers-in-law (Jim and Dan) joined in. As business grew, they made the decision to split Conejo Valley Appliance, Air Conditioning and Heating into two separate companies. Jim and Dan took over Conejo Valley Appliance and Wally continued on with Conejo Valley Heating and Air.

Continuing in his father’s footsteps, Wally’s son Branden Dickey took over as CEO in 2005. With white-glove customer service as his cornerstone, Branden has grown the business into the most reputable home services company in the Conejo Valley with a fleet of 70+ trucks and divisions for plumbing, electrical, and generators to help homeowners streamline maintenance of their homes. In 2024, we updated our name from Conejo Valley Heating and Air to Conejo Heating, Air, Plumbing and Electrical to better reflect our breadth of services.

Our water heater started leaking and made a huge mess. I called Conejo Valley Heating/ Air and Plumbing and told them about it. Jeff Stone was kind enough to rearrange his schedule and came immediately early Saturday morning. He knew exactly what was wrong and repaired it and stopped the flooding. He was knowledgeable and kind and went out of his way to help me. He organized another company to come out right away to place dehumidifiers in the house and begin the repairs. Jeff is expert with plumbing emergencies and I really appreciate his help. He really saved the day for us (and our house) and I highly recommend him. Thank you so much Jeff for your help!

Lady on the phone was very nice and got me a same day appointment because I was about to leave town. Tech who came out, in the middle of the estimated time window, was very professional and found the issue quickly and corrected it. He also gave a visual inspection of the whole HVAC system to check for any other major issues. I will call these guys again next time for sure.

We have used Conejo for their services since we purchased our home 3 years ago and are on their gold plan with regular servicing. We have always been so happy with the technicians that come. They are incredibly friendly , highly skilled, and thorough in their work. We recently had Tony out to check our plumbing and he was wonderful !! Highly recommend Conejo for any needs.

I have been having problems with my old furnace and air conditioning. In January 28, 2025 my furnace gave up on me, on one of the coldest weeks we have had in while. I contacted Conejo Heating and Air and they sent a technician (Dakota) to look at it. It was not repairable. Mr Jamroz a sales manager came over to show me what they could offer and after talking with him and explaining the equipment and process for installation, I decided to have them install an new heater and AC/heat pump. The next day a crew of Conejo Heating and Air came over and replaced the units and brought the ones to code. City and State inspection passed with no issues Installation is spot on. This company is very conscientious about the quality of their workmanship and equipment that they sell. I will likely have them updated the duct work and possibly have new attic insulation put in as well.I would definitely recommend Conejo Heating and Air to anyone!Keep up the good work!

Conejo Heating and Air are the BEST IN THE BUSINESS!! We have been customers since we moved to California in 2008. Their team is amazing… from the office staff who answer the phones to their amazing, expert technicians! In the 17 years we’ve been working with them we have never had a bad experience or run into a technician that wasn’t superb (and not one who I didn’t feel comfortable letting in my house). They are all extremely competent, very conscientious and always friendly.We are platinum members of the service plan they offer, which includes discounts on work and a lot of other benefits = Everything from new projects to regularly scheduled service checks on almost all our major systems; heating, air, plumbing, and now electrical too!Our last service call was a few weeks ago. Pavel was our technician. During the first call he checked out all our electrical systems throughout the house - making sure everything was working properly and more importantly - working SAFELY.On his second visit, he removed the old and installed a new, high tech Bluetooth combo fan/light/speaker in our primary bedroom.Pavel was GREAT! ! He was very friendly, respectful and an extremely knowledgeable electrician! He did an outstanding job; even fixing and installing a new (much needed) vent duct! (Our original fan did not have one). Pavel not only installed our new fan but fixed the venting issue. What a difference when things are done right! Thanks again CVH&A for your years of service! We appreciate all of you!

Jesse arrived on time and prepared to work. He wore shoe coverings and gloves and walked me thru the A/C annual service. He changed the air filter and recommended that I change it at least every 3 months. He serviced the condenser and recommended a new hard start kit which we approved. He also recommended that we replace our 40 yo Challenger electrical panel that is subject to fires and would not be covered by insurance. So it’s on our critical to-do list. Overall an excellent experience and we highly recommend their service.
